Jamieson's of Shetland

Jamieson’s of Shetland is a fifth-generation family business, founded in the late 1800s by Robert Jamieson in Sandness on the Shetland Islands – a place where the wool tradition is deeply rooted in both climate and culture. Since the beginning, the Jamieson family has worked with wool from the native Shetland sheep and is today one of the few companies that still produces garments from raw fleece to finished sweater on the islands.
For Jamieson’s, it is essential that every sweater is knitted in pure Shetland wool – a goal that was achieved after decades of development. The brand is particularly known for its Fair Isle sweaters, which are knitted in their own mill in Sandness using computer-controlled technology that allows for complex patterns in both classic and modern colourways.
