Sunspel, est. 1860, was born of founder Thomas A. Hill’s dream of creating simple, everyday clothing made from the finest quality fabrics. In a radical departure from the norms of the time, the English company began producing underwear in soft, Egyptian cotton rather than the more common wool.
During the second half of the twentieth century, Sunspel gained an international reputation as one of the world’s foremost producers of exclusive underwear. Its elegantly simple designs are now offered side-by-side with haute couture and expensive furs in some of the world’s most exclusive stores. This concept of everyday luxury continues to be the marque’s focus to this day.
