Originally a maker of bespoke shoes and boots, John Lobb, with its over 150-year history, has established itself as one of the world’s foremost shoemakers. The company was founded in London in 1866, adding a second location in Paris in 1902 and today continues to build on its heritage as a maker of the very best shoes you can buy.
In 1976, the brand was purchased by Hermès, who encouraged the marque to introduce a collection of “ready-to-wear” models in order to expand its clientele beyond a small group of society’s most privileged. To this day, the collection continues to be handmade in the company’s own workshop in Northampton, England.
