Part of the Meisterstück Literary Edition Collection of designs paying homage to influential works of literature. The image of a steamboat riding the waves adorning its cap represents the beginning of Phileas Fogg's global adventure. The Spade symbol on the barrel recalls the bet placed between Fogg and his associates that led to his journey. The engraving "18 80 DAYS" on the pen top refers to the 18 days it took Fogg to prepare for his voyage and the 80 days he took to travel around the world. Finally, an air balloon adorns the nib itself, honouring Jules Verne's fascination with travel and adventure.

The Fountain Pen
The ink of a fountain pen can come from two different sources: Small cartridges of water-based ink may be placed in the pen by hand or, alternatively, a separate ink pump can be placed inside the pen to absorb ink from an inkpot. Some fountain pens have a built-in pump and can therefore not be used with ink cartridges.
