How to care for and store linen garments
Follow these simple steps to gently wash and care for your linen garments, extending their lifespan.

Frequent airing

Often, simply airing out linen garments is enough to refresh them. This saves water and prevents the garment's fibres from wearing out.

Store on hanger

Linen is a material that wrinkles easily. To avoid too many wrinkles on your linen garment, we recommend storing on a hanger in the wardrobe. Preferably, on a hanger with a wide fit. Seasonally store your linen garments in a dry place to avoid moisture and mould.

Spot treat small stains

Treat any small stains with a cloth, detergent and lukewarm water.

Washing linen garments

- Button-up the garment and close zips.

- Always follow the garment's washing instructions for specific instructions. Some linen items may have individual washing instructions.

- Separate light colours from dark linen garments to prevent the colours from fading.

- Wash linen garments with advantage in cold or lukewarm water. Hot water can shrink the fabric and adversely affect the fibres.

- Use a gentle detergent. Avoid stain removers as it can damage the linen fibres.

- Hand washing is always a gentle option if you're unsure about the washing instructions. Soak the garment in cold water with a mild detergent and rub gently.

Drying the garment

Avoid tumble drying as heat can shrink and damage the fabric. Hang or dry on a flat surface depending on the type of garment immediately after washing to avoid excessive wrinkling.

Iron or steam

In case of wrinkles, it is ok to iron or steam at a low temperature, preferably, when the garment is still slightly damp from washing. Spray with water if the garment is dry. For extra caution, you can use a press cloth (a thin cotton fabric).

Think sustainable

Repair your garment instead of buying a new one.

Pass on the garment

If you're tired of your garment, let someone else enjoy it by passing it on.
