Why should I shop at Care of Carl?
• All production takes place in Carl Dagg's workshop in Malung, Sweden.
• Canopy made in a water-repellent Italian cotton blend.
• Walnut shaft and handle.
• Robust metal construction with 10 ribs.
• Leather trim and strap.
• Weight: 600g.
Care advice: Umbrellas should not be used in strong winds or stormy weather conditions as this may harm their metal construction no matter their durability. Always open an umbrella downwards. Leave the canopy open to dry fully after use to prevent rust and creasing. When the umbrella has dried out, roll it up carefully, gently teasing out any material that may have become stuck in the ribbing and smooth out using a circular motion. Prolonged exposure to sunlight and heat may cause the fabric of the canopy to fade and lose its elasticity.

The history of Carl Dagg starts with Swedish duo Carl Cyrén and Carl Samuelsson’s shared ambition to create attractive, durable and functional umbrellas with a particular focus on detailing and quality. The Swedish brand makes all of its products in Northern Europe’s last remaining umbrella factory in the town of Malung, Sweden. The idea for Carl Dagg was born from the founders’ experiences with flawed umbrellas that provided little protection from rain and wind and that all too quickly fell apart.
Carl Dagg aims to encourage long-term investment in high-quality umbrellas while protesting against the “use-and-abuse” disposability often associated with umbrellas.
