Linen Shirts
Linen shirts are common when it comes to stylish garments during summertime. With a fabric that is breathable, such as the linen fabric, it is a go-to when finding something cooling to wear. Linen shirts made from coarser fabrics are just as suitable to wear all year round. When it comes to a purely theoretical degree of formality, the linen shirt is often classified as very casual. Partly as a result of the linen fabric wrinkling a little more than, for example, cotton fabric. However, do not let this discourage you from wearing linen shirts. A slightly wrinkled texture belongs to, and gives the garment character and personality. Colours such as solid white and light blue, but also light pink are very easy to wear and it works with many different combinations. With a button down collar the shirt collar falls neatly. Worn with two to three buttons unbuttoned, depending on how hot it is and what situation you are in.
A linen shirt can be as named before, worn casually, with a pair of relaxed fit trousers. It also works very well with more formal combinations, and can even be worn with a tie. If you want to wear a tie with your linen shirt, it is a good idea to keep in mind that the shirt collar is large and high enough to have room for the tie knot. All shirts, strange as it may sound, are not made to be accompanied with a tie. If the collar is too small, the tie knot just looks out of place. The linen shirt is a perfect garment to wear on the beach to protect your arms and upper body from the sun. It also dries quickly if you wear it after bathing.
