Since its inception, Woolrich has been dedicated to producing warm and durable clothing. Its roots can be traced back to 1830, when John Rich II began selling clothing to the pioneers arriving in the Pennsylvanian wilderness. With time, the company began to manufacture blankets and uniforms for the US Army and, in 1990, the name was licenced by Italian producer WP Lavori. Since then, the brand's design language has been refined to give a make a more contemporary impression, while still remaining true to Woolrich's long history of producing warm, insulating clothing, an approach that is perfectly illustrated in the classic Arctic Parka jacket.
