Tod's was founded in 1978 by entrepreneur Diego Della Valle, who came from a long line of shoemakers. When visiting New York, Diego happened upon a simply constructed driving shoe, and an idea began to take shape. Upon his return to Italy, he set about establishing what would become the intertnationally-renowned driving shoe specialist Tod's. The brand is perhaps most closely associated with the soft and supple Gommino model, a particular favourite of Italian businessman and style icon Giovanni Agnelli.

Det var lite problem  med storleken på min Barbour International då det stod i beskrivningen att den var stor och att man skulle välja en storlek mindre , ringde även och fick svaret  att jag skulle ta storlek 40 som motsvarande L men det stämde inte alls , men efter kanonservice av Lina så blir det ändå full poäng och jackan är helt suverän/ Claes
