Rocky Mountain Featherbed
Rocky Mountain Featherbed was founded in Wyoming (the Cowboy State) in the late 60's and is perhaps best known for its iconic down vest, with a seamless leather yoke, originally created for cowboys. These vests soon became recognized and popular for their good heat retention abilities.
Made in Japan
With advances in manufacturing, and recognized fabrics such as GORE-TEX, RMF was predicted a bright future but unfortunately the brand ceased to operate in the 80's. In 2005, the Japanese company 35 Summers Ltd acquired the license to manufacture and recreate the iconic garments, with the rights to use the brand name. All garments marked Rocky Mountain Featherbed are today manufactured in Japan, but with the same technology and quality as the originals from the 60s.
