Combining European trends with strong East Asian influences, KENZO, founded by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada, took the Paris fashion world by storm on its launch in 1970. The brand's collections are characterised by their use of colourful patterns, with the iconic tiger motif having a particularly prominent role.

The buzz generated by this striking design served to put the sweatshirt firmly back on the map.
