About Speedmaster
The Omega Speedmaster, also known as "The Moon Watch". A watch model that quickly became a clear collector's item. The first model reached the market in 1957. In 1964, the model became known as the Omega Speedmaster Professional. The Omega Speedmaster watches launched before the moon landing are particularly sought after as they are only labelled "Speedmaster" on the back case, while the watches released after the moon landing have the addition of "Moonwatch".
The Omega Speedmaster has been worn by astronauts on all six moon landings. The Speedmaster is so popular that the term "Speedy Tuesday" has become a common term on social media, with Omega Speedmaster enthusiasts around the world posting pictures of their jewellery every Tuesday.
