Jaeger-LeCoultre was first founded in 1833 by Antione Le Coultre. The company was a leader in bringing together all the skills required to manufacture a watch, in a unified operation.

In 1903, they merged with Paris-based watchmaker Edmond Jaeger to form Jaeger-LeCoultre. With over 430 patents and 1300 different movements/calibres, Jeager Le Coultre is one of the watch world's most respected manufacturers.
