RRL is named after Ralph Lauren's Colorado ranch which, in turn, is named after Ralph himself and his wife Ricky. The label was launched in 1993 to celebrate Ralph Lauren's passion for the American Wild West and collect the ideas born on the ranch.
Its inspiration is taken from classic designs, often from the mid-to-late 19th century, and with a clear focus on quality and durability. The label's collections include clothing inspired by historic workwear, the Gold Rush, the American Civil War and both World Wars.
