Italy’s Colmar have long been associated with sportswear, and Alpine sports in particular. For decades, athletes in the brand’s clothing have dominated the slopes, and Colmar has been continually refining and developing its products to help them reach their true potential.
The brand’s origins can be traced back to 1923, when husband-and-wife team Mario and Irma Coloumbo founded a business manufacturing hats and gaiters in Monza, Italy. The brand’s name itself is derived from the first letters in Mario’s surname and forename: Col-Mar. As time went on, the company expanded into the world of workwear, even providing uniforms for the French Foreign Legion, before shifting their focus to the outerwear for which they are known today.
